Where The Roads Come Together

None of us is born the same
We don’t know why; it’s the way we came.
Every heart beats a little differently
Each soul is free to find its way
Like a river that winds its way to the sea.

For life is a journey
And there are many roads beneath the sky
And there are many good people
Who don’t see eye to eye

Not every man can sing your tune;
From where he stands there’s another view
With every turn we’re learnin’ more
And perhaps we’ll find
That the walls we build are only in the mind.

There are many roads to go
And they go by many names.
They don’t all go the same way
But they get there all the same
And I have a feelin’ that we’ll meet some day
Where the roads come together up the way.

We Will Stand

VERSE
We’re a new age unfolding right before your eyes
We’re the voices of change that cannot be denied
Although we have doubts and fears,
We’ll challenge them face to face
It’s time to dig down, step up, and take our place

CHORUS
We will stand, we will be counted
We will stand a hundred strong
Whatever it takes, a new world we’ll make
We will stand

VERSE
From the words of a promise we will take our song
To the front lines of action ‘til we right the wrong
We’ll face forces that oppose
And walls built to block our way
But we are coming, and we will not be turned away

CHORUS

BRIDGE
We stand our ground,
And come what may, we are here to stay
We promise now
To seize this day for right,
We will hold and fight

CHORUS
We will stand, we will be counted
We will stand a thousand strong
(Hand in hand, a million strong)
Whatever it takes, a new world we’ll make
We will stand

Time has come to seize the moment
We will stand

Up With People!

It happened just this morning, I was walking down the street,
The milkman and the postman and policeman I did meet.
There in ev’ry window and ev’ry single door,
I recognized people I’d never noticed before.

Up! Up with people!
You meet ‘em wherever you go,
Up! Up with People!
They’re the best kind of folks we know.
If more people were for people,
All people ev’rywhere,
There’d be a lot less people to worry about,
And a lot more people who care.

People from the south-land and people from the north,
Like a mighty army, I saw them coming forth.
‘Twas a great reunion, befitting of a king!
Then I realized people were more important than things.

Up! Up with people!… etc.

Room For Everyone

We live close together in worlds apart
And need plenty of room inside our hearts.
We share the sky we share the sun.
Can’t we share the world with ev’ryone?

Sometime soon the time must come
When there’ll be room for ev’ryone
A place to walk and a place to run.
Got to be room for ev’ryone.

We’ve got diff’rent dreams with diff’rent names
But it seems our hearts still beat the same.
It’ll take some love it’ll take some trust
To make some room for all of us.

Sometime soon the time must come … etc.

One 2 One

VERSE
A man walks up to another man who is lying in the street
And he says Let me help you, brother, let me help you to your feet
And then he reaches out to lift him and the other wonders why
Why did you stop? I stopped because, friend, it begins with you and I

CHORUS
One 2 one, we change the world by giving to another
A helping hand along the way
A simple act of love is what changes are made of
So, one 2 one we change the world

VERSE
And what about a woman who is looking for a way
To find the hope she needs to help her make it thru another day
And there is no one there to reach out, no one there to get her thru
So who will help this woman find it, If not me, then who?

CHORUS

BRIDGE
One 2 one, by one on one, something anyone can do
Everyone can touch someone

VERSE
How do we heal a world that turns in darkness and pain
How does one person not believe her efforts are in vain
How do we solve all of our problems that grow larger every day
It’s in each and every person, and I know we’ll find a way

CHORUS

Love each other, one 2 one

Have A Little Faith (In Us)

VERSE
See the lovers in the faded photograph
She’s making funny faces, he’s trying not to laugh.
Do you remember the way we used to be
When love lifted us up, made us feel so free.
How we betrayed each other, trying to rediscover
That feeling once again.
This is not the end

CHORUS
There’s no ghost from the past that we can’t shake
Have a little faith in us
There’s no history that we can’t remake
Have a little faith in us
For all we know the best is yet to come

BRIDGE
And we can climb that mountain and go
Where this love has never gone before
And in our wildest heart of hearts
We will know that we have been reborn, oh

CHORUS

Confidence

VERSE
Wake up every morning
Find it hard to get out of bed
Feeling kind of crazy
Can’t remember what I said last night, no no
I don’t know which way to go
But I cool it down don’t let it show

CHORUS
You gotta do it with confidence
You gotta go for it in style
You gotta do it with confidence
If you really want to do do do do it right

VERSE
Don’t imagine maybe
Everybody’s doing just fine
Some of us are lying
Most of us are killing time
When your world starts spinning
Don’t let the devil get you down

CHORUS
If you gonna do it wanna do it with confidence

VERSE
If you can’t remember
How to say what’s on your mind
Find a way to show it
Way before you run out of time
Don’t forget to make a stand
Before this groove gets really out of hand… yeah

CHORUS

Ayiko

A mila woe lo?
Mila woe a!
A mila woe lo?
Mila woe a!

VERSE
There’s a fishing village in Togo, West Africa
Where the men are pulling their nets in from the sea
And the people watching all along the shore
Shout “Ayiko, Ayiko”, pull together everyone

CHORUS
Ayiko, Ayiko, Ayiko, ya, yea (4x)

VERSE
In this world of people with many different dreams
We must pull for each other like players on one team

CHORUS

BRIDGE
A mila woe lo? Mila woe a!
Ke mi va mi kata mi popu ne miawo, (ah!) Tsoboue!
Hey, ya-ya!
Tsoboue! Tsoboue!
Hey, ya-ya!
Tsoboue!
Hey, ya-ya! Dom pede, dom pede dom HOH!

CHORUS

Keep on pullin’, let’s pull together, keep on pullin’, oh, oh
Ayiko, Ayiko, Ayiko, ya, yeah!
