Welcome to Camp UpBeat
At Camp UpBeat, campers ages 11–14 spend two unforgettable weeks, from July 5–July 18, 2026, learning, performing, and connecting through music, dance, and service. Each day blends creativity and leadership with the classic Camp Horizons experience—campfires, laughter, and lifelong friendships.

UpBeat Campers spend their days diving into music, dance, leadership, and cultural learning, and still join the larger Camp Horizons community for meals, evening programs, and cabin life. It’s the best of both worlds: focus on what you love during the day, then enjoy all the campfires, friendships, and fun that Camp Horizons is known for at night.
Is this the same as Camp Up with People?
Camp Up with People (CUWP) is the heart and inspiration behind this new program. Camp UpBeat carries forward the same “music with a mission” spirit and core ideals of connection, creativity, and community but is updated to work with as a self-sustainable model. Instead of operating as a stand-alone camp, Camp UpBeat is now part of the Camp Horizons family, blending the energy and purpose of CUWP with all the fun, friendship, and traditions that make Camp Horizons so special.
Why this work matters?
Camp UpBeat helps young people build confidence, community, and cultural awareness through music and shared experience. In a world where many youth feel isolated or unsure of their place, this program offers belonging, positive role models, and a space to be fully themselves.
How can you help
Your support helps strengthen and enhance the Camp UpBeat experience for every participant. Contributions help cover program costs such as music and dance instruction, leadership and cultural activities, and the resources needed to create a safe and enriching environment for young people. Your support ensures this program continues to grow and reach more campers each year.

Thank you,

Camp Horizons Team
