It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of a significant and difficult decision. After careful consideration and exhaustive efforts to sustain our operations, the Board of Directors have concluded that Up with People will cease the “VOICES Program” and pause its operations. This letter serves as both an announcement of this decision and a personal farewell as I step down from my role as President & CEO. 

Our mission at Up with People has always been to transform communities and empower youth to drive positive change, and together, we have made remarkable strides. Our collective efforts have touched countless lives and created meaningful change. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished. 

To our dedicated staff, your passion and hard work have been the driving force behind every success we have achieved. Your commitment to our mission has been nothing short of inspiring, and I am profoundly grateful for your unwavering dedication. 

To our donors and partners, your generosity has helped us build the foundation of our initiatives. You have stood by us through thick and thin, your contributions have had a lasting impact on the communities we served. I cannot thank you enough for your support. 

I am grateful to our Board of Directors for their support and guidance, in steering Up with People toward achieving its mission. 

Moving forward, our priority will be to ensure a smooth transition and to support our staff, partners, and the communities we serve. We are committed to managing this process with the utmost care and responsibility, honoring the trust you have placed in us. 

While this chapter comes to a close, I remain deeply committed to the values and mission that guide Up with People. I am hopeful that the spirit of our work will live on through the continued efforts of those we have inspired and the communities we have touched.
