April was filled with music, voices rising, rooms coming alive, and moments that reminded us just how powerful it feels to sing together again. We felt that spirit everywhere: when the Voices Rock children’s choir sang “Colorado” by Up with People and filled the room with something truly special, when hundreds of strangers came together at Harmony Jam Session and, just hours later, were hugging like old friends, and when we felt that familiar spark return.
It all comes back to one feeling, connection, togetherness, and being part of something bigger than ourselves. And the best part? We’re just getting started.
We’re excited to welcome Jefferson Glassie to the Up with People Foundation Board.
Jefferson Glassie is a lawyer, author, and musician from the Washington, DC area. He has represented nonprofit membership associations for many years and has been active in the American Society of Association Executives (and is an ASAE Fellow with Robin Lokerman). He took up music later in life, and currently is also the chief spiritual dude of the Planetary Gigs Society, whose mission is making connections through music with the intention of creating peace.
We’re grateful to have him as part of this next chapter.

Voices Rock Presents: The Music of Up with People is your chance to sing those songs again, stand on stage, and feel that energy you never quite forget.
Rehearsals begin May 13 (online and in person), and this is the final call to join. What to expect:
One choir led by UWP alumna Jill Teas
7-week session with rehearsals on Wednesdays and some Mondays
Full in person rehearsal on June 26 and dress rehearsal June 27 at Mapleton Arts Center in Denver
